This Privacy Policy explains how Natural Fertility handles the information you share with us when you visit the website or interact with the AI fertility assistant (the "chatbot") and Fertility Health Explorer (the "questionnaire").

What information we collect
When you use the chatbot or questionnaire
When you send a message to the AI assistant or complete the questionnaire, the following information is processed:

The content of your messages (questions you type, questionnaire answers)

Technical metadata: the time of your request, an anonymous session identifier, your IP address (seen only by our hosting infrastructure for security and rate limiting, not stored in application logs)
We do not collect:

Your name, email, phone number, or any other identifier unless you voluntarily provide it

Persistent history across sessions (closing the chat discards your conversation)

When you browse the website
Standard web technologies (cookies, analytics) may be used on the main website. Our site is hosted on Wix, whose privacy policy describes the cookies and data they set.
How we use this information

To answer your questions: your message is sent to our AI system, which retrieves relevant information from a curated knowledge base and generates a response.

To improve the service: we keep anonymous interaction logs (session ID, timestamp, which mode was used) so we can understand usage patterns and find areas to improve. We do not use your messages to train AI models.

To protect the service from abuse: rate limits and basic security measures use technical metadata to prevent misuse.
Legal basis: we process this information on the basis of your consent (you tick the "I understand" box before using the tool) and legitimate interests (running and improving a free informational service).
Who else sees this information
We use a small number of third-party services to deliver the chatbot. They act as data processors on our behalf:

OpenAI — processes the content of your messages to generate AI responses. Messages are sent to OpenAI's API in real time. OpenAI states that API requests are not used to train their models. More at OpenAI's data policy.

Our hosting provider — A private server hosted in the UK — stores the anonymous interaction logs described above.
We do not share your information with advertisers, insurers, or any party outside of the service infrastructure.
Where your data is stored

During a session: message content is held in memory while your session is active and transmitted to OpenAI's servers for processing. OpenAI processes data in its global infrastructure, which may include the US.

After a session: we do not retain the content of your messages. Anonymous interaction logs (no message content) are kept on our server in the UK.
How long we keep your data

Message content: not retained after your session ends.

Anonymous interaction logs: kept for 12 months, then deleted.

Children
This service is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
